Free discipleship recovery programs

The Discipleship Recovery Program, offered free-of-charge, lasts 18 months and focuses on transformation and renewal. Basing its work on Bible teachings, the Madera Rescue Mission reinforces good values for participants in this program through counseling, class sessions, and life-skills training. The shelter has a capacity to house 18 men and four women for the duration of the program, and each applicant goes through a screening process to determine their suitability.

Not everyone can be admitted due to accommodation constraints. A farm management headquartered in Madera, California, Agriland Farming Company has over 30, acres of land that produces specialty agricultural products. Agriland Farming Company supports many non-profit organizations as part of its corporate social responsibility program, with the Community Action Partnership of Madera County Inc. CAPMC being one of its beneficiaries. The CAPMC is a public, non-profit organization set up in to empower vulnerable individuals and families of Madera County and provide interventions in crisis periods.

There are various victim services run by the CAPMC, which assists victims of crime, sexual, and domestic abuse. There is the Community Services Department, which provides various services like free transportation, medical escort, and free meals for vulnerable senior citizens.

It also helps vulnerable citizens pay utility bills and weatherization and temporarily houses homeless people at a homeless shelter, Shunammite Place. Some of its services include legal migration assistance, crisis intervention, and assisting crime victims.
