This site in other languages x. I spend the rest of the day reinstalling my software and getting it all configured. Some difficulties and I'm nowhere near done. It's 10 PM and I have to print some important docs for a meeting tomorrow.
I go to config my Lexmark , which states that it's installed the drivers properly even though they were XP drivers , and I try to print the first doc. You all know the rest of the story.

Wednesday, December 12, AM. Tuesday, March 18, PM. Here is how I did mine. I went to the website where my printer drivers were for Vista. I downloaded the drivers only!!! I copied my origional drivers to a folder on my desktop, then added the vista driver to the folder. Before you do this, make sure that you go to control panel and folder options and in view choose to see hidden files.
Burn your compilation at 4X speed and do tick to verify the written data. Now you have an install disk with all windows drivers. Put the cd into the optical drive and wait. Do not let it run, click to exit. Now, plug in the printer and wait for vista to say blah blah blah. Do not let it look for a solution, in the next screen let it automatically get the driver to install and it will find it.
If it will not let you, here is what you do then. Unplug the printer. Right click the optical drive and choose explore. When it opens, right tick the vista driver and choose properties, then choose compatability and say run as windows xp and as administrator, apply and close. Go into control panel and go to system then system protection.
Click advanced and then performance settings. Then data execution setting. Choose turn on data execution except for these blah blah blah. Now search for the driver on the cd and add it. Now go back to the driver cd and click the hp setup. Close everything and plug your printer in and install.
You should be skippy. Tghe data execution is a place to add the. Always also include those to install as compatable with windows xp, if it will not do it in Vista. Now for my question. How comw Vista will not read files when I try to copy them from cd or dvd media, but it will import any pictures it cannot copy through the import program, and these are files Vista claims cannot be read when I try and copy them???
